An extremely docile shitzu’s character has been described in the breed standards such as it is a small and highly intelligent puppy. It is always a lovable one and it like the owners should always with it. Since it is a house pet and in needs always a companionship. It is not like other dogs, which prefer going out for a walk. it has been mentioned in the shitzu breed standard that shitzu characteristics will allow them to stay and live in indoors due to their formation of the board nose which cannot allow it to breath in fresh air or the air which comes with force in outside. Shitzu should be well grown only it is being allocated to a room with cool and protected from heat with proper ventilation. They should not be separated from their owners. It is called as toy dog, which has got double coat with long flowed. It is also called as one of the palace pet, which has got high value and companionship.

Shitzus are flexible in nature. Shitzu can plan for a more than an hour depends upon its own interest and its behavior. Kindness is one the main thing in shitzu characteristics. Shitzus are always under the idea that they know lot than their loved one. It will entertain well with the owners and other relatives in goofy manner. Shitzu will like a three-year-old child wanted to live with a toy to play. Shitzus are always very active, running here and there along with its owners while they walk. It is very important to note that those owners should be very careful when they grow shitzu with some old people with them.
